Geoffrey King was born in San Francisco and raised in the nearby city of Vallejo. Geoff is a graduate of Vallejo public schools, Diablo Valley Community College, UC Berkeley, and Stanford Law School. He is a staff attorney at a civil liberties nonprofit in the Bay Area, where he represents a core constituency of journalists, activists and artists in furtherance of their First Amendment rights. Geoff has photographed political protests across the United States and in Britain since the first day of the Iraq War. In 2005 he traveled to Bosnia to document the ongoing search for missing persons in the context of the tenth anniversary of the Srebrenica massacre.
