Greg Sargent

Greg Sargent is a contributing editor for New York Magazine, where he writes mostly about politics. His first story about gun litigation was in the mid-1990s, when a Brooklyn woman named Freddie Hamilton sued 25 gun manufacturers after her 17-year-old son was fatally shot, alleging the comanies' negligent distribution practices had helped cause his death. She won a veridict that was later overturned on appeal.
