Weird Weather Watch: Brutal Heat Wave in the South
It was 107 in Memphis yesterday—an all-time high. The heat that has gripped most of the South for the past week and a half has killed at least 37 people.
Riffing the massive earthquake yesterday in Peru (which left almost 450 people dead), Memphis' mayor said, "This is pretty akin to a seismic event in the sense that there is no remedy, no solution that we here in this room can come up with that will take care of everybody."
Meanwhile, Americans presided over the deaths of 250 people in Iraq, where we are busily fighting for the fossil fuel we need to fight.
Perhaps our efforts would be more constructively directed at halting climate change.

You all stop your complaining now, you hear. Plagues and pestilence, and the hurricanes will be upon you complainers. As it was and always will be, just get use to it. Go live in Sudan for a few years and come back to America(if you survive) and see what you say.
Earth,
What was your point with this? Go live in Sudan? Is this a Darfur reference? Are you aware that a large part of the problem in Darfur is that a large lake dried up? Darfur is largely an issue of anthropogenic climate change.
So, your point must be something like humans are evil and are getting what they deserve. Did I misunderstand something?

So it serves the south their just deserts as they continue to support Bush and deny climate change, as does my religion also serve Bush and Bushco.
