Are Babies Causing Global Warming?
Yes. Yes, they are.

Here's another good article on the subject.

BTW, the UN Millennium Development Goals for Sustainability report was going to include a section on limiting population growth. Since it never made it to the final doc, I have no idea what it was going to say. I would presume the usual about educating women and getting them into the workforce, which is a tremendously effective way to reduce birth rates voluntarily.
Three nations vetoed any mention of population control. Guess which ones.
Go ahead, guess.
If you guessed Iran, The Vatican, and the USA, you're right!
Jezz, controlling population is like controlling gravity. The “population control people” are apparently living on a different planet or – somehow – have millions of logic based “friends”. All of the people I’ve ever known have kids for the same reason they have kittens and puppies, because they can’t think further in the future than the next TV commercial and, of course, human optimism.
“Gee …”, they say, “our kids will be SO cute! And they’ll grow up to be just as intelligent and beautiful as WE are!” Turns out they’ll grow up to be just more statistically average human jerks, like their parents.
The only way to cure overpopulation is the old-fashion way. The noble classes having their patriotic peasants killing the other peasants in glorious wars. Btw, for all you Americans out there with young males, there’s still time to move to New Zealand to escape the American nobility. But ya better act fast.

The problem is too many people. The Trilateral Commission(also the Bilderberg Society and CFR) is working on several marvelous plans to reduce the populations of the world to a more ecological level. Some labs are working around the clock to come up with an appropriate organism. Look at Africa, how AIDS(invented by CIA) depopulated large portions of that area without affecting other areas. It is not easy coming up with organisms that target specific areas. But no need to worry, the future is bright in this area.

Here's my take on human population. Let me know where my logic fails. As stated in my opinion, it's not scientific.

I'd be happy to see the government stop rewarding people for having babies by giving them huge tax breaks.

Queer,
Good point. I'd be happy to do away with all tax deductions. I shouldn't have to fund someone else's kids any more than renters should have to fund my mortgage.
However, since kids have an actual cost to society, how about an increased tax for the childful over the childfree?

Lars, Gay works. So does vasectomy. Whatever is better for each of us is a good choice.
