U.S. Army Reserve Brig. Gen. Janis Karpinski put in charge of the 800th Military Police Brigade with jurisdiction over military prisons in Iraq. Her command includes three large jails (including Abu Ghraib), 8 battalions, and 3,400 reservists. Most have no training in handling prisoners. Neither does she.
