How to Navigate the Timeline
Note: When you first load the timeline, it will automatically set to March, 2003. To navigate, point your mouse to the gray slider on the left-hand side, where the year numerals (2002, 2003 etc.) are. To move back in time, left click on the slider, hold the clicker down, and mouse up. To move forward in time, left click on the slider, hold the clicker down, and mouse down.
To view entries for a given month, click on the box showing name of that month on the left-hand side. Note that months set against a gray box contain no entries; only months set against a colored box do.
How to View a Source
Click on the hyperlinked text in the timeline entry.
How to View Entries By Category or Topic
To view entries by top-level category, click on the icon in the bottom left-hand corner of the screen. For example, to view all entries related to False Intelligence, click on the icon labelled "False Intel" and so on.
A lower-level category is the tag, a text link. Tags exist at the foot of the timeline entries. As with the icons, to view all entries related to a given tag, click on that tag. For example, to view all entries having to do with Saddam, click the word Saddam where it appears at the bottom of an entry.
A full list of the tags used in this timeline is located at the foot of the page generated by clicking a tag. For example, if you click Saddam you generate a page containing only entries related to Saddam. At the foot of that page is a full list of tags. Click on any one of them to view all entries related to that tag.
Results page opens in a new window. To return to the main timeline, click Window and then Timeline in your browser's toolbar.
How to Search the Timeline
The Search box is located at the bottom right of the page. To search the timeline, enter your search term in the box and click on Search. A page of search results will appear above, in the timeline frame.
