REP. SCOTT KLUG (R-WI)

On February 8, 1993, Rep. Klug purchased between 1,000 and 15,000 dollars worth of stock in Waste Management for his son (Collin).

Ten days later (February 18, 1993), a bill was introduced in the House and referred to Rep. Klug's committee (Energy and Commerce) that would affect Waste Management. The bill was H.R. 963: Local Government Interstate Waste control act...to authorize local governments and Governors to restrict receipt of out-of-state municipal waste.

POLITICAL MONEY NOTES: Over the last three years, Rep. Klug accepted 900 dollars in political contributions from Waste Management, and 500 dollars from the Solid Wastes Management Association.

NOTES: Rep. Klug is # 14 on the House Energy and Commerce Committee; he is # 7 on the Health and Environment Subcommittee.
