Amidst the avalanche of lies in Bush's crank call last night was a golden nugget of honesty: This is an act of Imperialism; that the U.S. would maintain a military involvement in Iraq for as far as the eye can see. This is the exact kind of presence that kicked off al-Qaeda in the first place. . .and what today keeps it strong and growing.
