The unpaid executive director, and staff person at Hospitality House Inc. is playing David to the state and towns of Maine, Goliath. She is personally suing the towns and the overseers the State of Maine for arbitrarily interfering with “her right to effectively aid others in obtaining benefits.” And the Boston US Court of Appeals has labeled her claim-not as a civil rights matter but as miscellaneous.
How can a case involving Civil Rights, be classified as anything else than important? It is filed without a lawyer. Not only am I going up against the Maine Municipal Associations highly paid lawyer. I am also up against the Asst Attorney General. I feel the judges are insuring my sling shot lacks ammo. I inform everyone who will listen “The Courts are using non existing technicalities against this case. Plus they are ignoring Landmark case law by higher Courts.” I warn that “Clearing Docket does not out rank providing the reality of justice, which has been done for the better part of three (3) decades.”
I, Jan LightfootLane exclaimed in complaint that my job of helping to house the homeless, and those facing homelessness overcome or avoid displacement is made more difficult by municipalities, illegal actions. With the appearance of clearing their docket rather than providing justice, the Bangor Maine US District Court said Ms. LightfootLane, “ lacks STANDING to complain simply that her government is violating the law” 06. They said Jan was “unclear in her writing” Then when she drafted a second complaint on the continuing harm she suffers, she compared her injury to getting beat daily by bully each account is a new action.
The Court ignored a land mark US Supreme Court Case Transportation Union v. Michigan Bar Asso. 401 536? Which clearly said ,the railroad workers had a 1st amendment right of association, to exchange information on obtaining governmental benefits. No law, no governmental action, should interfere with this recognized constitutional right.
What did the US District Court say about the rights I put forth? Next to nothing they said I relied a lot upon _______ , but failed to say that did not fit this case. Then instead of addressing the obstacle caused my effectiveness of my job, they said “If government wasting valuable citizens time was a civil rights issue, everyone would be filing cases.” It does take three wise women or men to see; This finding is keep the docket, their judicial desk clear.
“I doubt the founding fathers had that in mind a judicial clean desk when they signed the bill of rights. Our founding fathers wanted to insure government would never misuse their power against citizens.
