I don't necessarily agree, further, I kind of take a little bit of grievance with the sacred protectors of our varmit, and their slow-to-act, slow-to-develop approach on energy. All ya gotta do to clean up the environment is Come Up With A Better Way, and develop products that'll enable people to become oil(mainly) independent, and your problem starts to go away. It's a neverending battle to provide for the needs of the Many, and automakers and oil companies and politicians and even the environmentalists themselves get caught up in the middle of it all and sort of forget that they can all go away if people just walk to the circuit breaker panel, shut everything off, park the car, skip work, and let the economy go straight to military-industrial complex, there. You can always cook over a wood fire composed of your old furniture and wood siding and so forth, and the neighbor won't miss the cat, will he? Them's good eatin'! Sound extreme? Maybe, but not impossible, if the economy 'goes south' as a result of too much 'green' zeal, I think the air will get pretty filthy pretty fast. Maybe instead of harping at 'the government'(which includes YOU, if you're a FlowyMurkens;), start developing stuff yourself, independently, that'll take the 'edge' off the reliance on petroleum. That, by itself, if successful, will clean up the atmosphere both politically and physically. So there.

Yeah baby, folks can't report on facts if you don't tell anybody you're trying not to know about it...

OK, so we all plant bean sprouts in old yogurt cups and call that an end to the problem. Why not use the system and get some instruction on solar engineering. Create a start-up business installing solar panels, were help is very hard to find, and create a new revenue source inside the market-oriented economy you seem to be so worried about losing? Then you can be productive instead of just smug and patting yourself on the back for being so clever. You cheeky- monkey
