| Description: | Bilal, along with Jeffrey Battle, Muhammad Ibrahim Bilal, Patrice Lumumba Ford, Maher Mofeid Hawash, and October Martinique Lewis, was one of the Portland Seven, a homegrown cell. The FBI put them under investigation after a sheriff's deputy found several of them holding target practice. The group flew to China in an unsuccessful attempt to enter Afghanistan and join Al Qaeda. Bilal, the brother of Muhammad Bilal, was a fugitive in Malaysia. He was sentenced to 10 years in prison. |
