Galab, along with Mukhtar Al-Bakri, Sahim Alwan, Yahya Goba, Shafal Mosed, and Yasein Taher, was part of the Lackawanna Six, a group of men charged with providing material support to Al Qaeda. He received training at an Al Qaeda camp in Afghanistan. He was the first of the six to plead guilty. He was sentenced to 7 years in prison.
