Al-Hamdi was part of the "Virginia Jihad Network," a group of Northern Virginia men who played paintball as combat training and hoped to attend a Lashkar-e-Taiba training camp. Ali al-Timimi guided the network. Al-Hamdi was sentenced to 10 years in prison.
