Hammoud, his brother Chawki, and Said Harb, ran a $7.8 million cigarette smuggling ring linked to Hezbollah. They purchased bulk cigarettes in North Carolina and sold them in Michigan for a profit. Hammoud allegedly married three different women to obtain residency. He was sentenced to 30 years in prison.
