After 9/11, Babar left the United States to fight against US forces in Afghanistan. He supplied night vision goggles, sleeping bags, and money to Al Qaeda in Pakistan. He also helped set up terrorist training camps with Mohammad Sidique Khan, the ringleader of the 2005 London bombings. After his arrest, Babar provided information on terrorist plots and his co-conspirators. Though he had faced as much as 70 years in prison, he was released with time served.
