Conde Rubio was the fourth highest-ranking member of the Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia (FARC). She oversaw the left-wing guerilla group's logistics and communications network. After three American hostages were rescued from the FARC in 2003, Conde Rubio was arrested and extradited to the United States. She was sentenced to more than 11 years in prison.
