| Description: | Ford, along with Jeffrey Battle, Ahmed Ibrahim Bilal, Muhammad Ibrahim Bilal, Maher Mofeid Hawash, and October Martinique Lewis, was one of the Portland Seven, a homegrown cell. The FBI put them under investigation after a sheriff's deputy found several of them holding target practice. The group flew to China in an unsuccessful attempt to enter Afghanistan and join Al Qaeda. Ford learned to speak Chinese in college. He was sentenced to 18 years in prison. |
