| Description: | In a meeting with an FBI informant, Malike tried to buy C-4 explosives, but couldn't come up with the cash. He said he wanted enough explosives to "blow up a mountain," and later claimed that he wanted bomb materials for gem and stone hunting. He also attempted to buy night-vision goggles and bulletproof vests from an undercover FBI agent. Malike also took a cruise during which he videotaped bridges. There was no evidence Malike had any links to terrorist groups. He was sentenced to three years in prison. |
