Goba, along with Mukhtar al-Bakri, Sahim Alwan, Faysal Galab, Shafal Mosed, and Yasein Taher, was part of the Lackawanna Six, a group of men charged with providing material support to Al Qaeda. Goba received training at an Al Qaeda camp in Afghanistan and met Osama bin Laden. He testified in Jose Padilla's case. He was senesced to 10 years in prison.
