Thank goodness for the teachers that go beyond the call of duty and sacrifice to help students. I have come to realize and appreciate the teachers in my life that went the extra mile and made sure basic concepts were grasped by all. Expectations by the gov will make this more difficult and require parents to teach other objectives than those graded on standardized testing. Good read on MJ.
Professionally trained police officers wounded 8 bystanders in this chaotic situation. Our supreme Court has decided that anyone can bring a gun anywhere. Is there no right to be safe walking down the street?
I fell for this when I was young and on a camping trip in Yosemite. Fortunately my companion was an older more experienced camper and she didn't let me panic and run when we heard the alarm that bears had hit a campsite near ours. Unmentioned in the article, but just as important if you live in the country, is to keep these drugs out of septic systems or any similar system that uses microbial breakdown processes. Prescription drugs can do so much damage that some septic systems have to be completely shut down, cleaned out, and re-initialized with new microbes.
Reading American politics as a American, I sometimes have to remind myself that satire is on life-support precisely because it can rarely outpace the real life absurdity of American Politics anymore.
Something is severely wrong when 50 rich folks can exert more influence on the politics of a nation than literally millions of other others. I have been under the impression that democracy was about majority rules, and that it not intended to mean whoever has the majority of the money rules.
