Another story that will be ignored by the mainstream media. Thanks Mother Jones!
This is awful! Please read.
Other senators: TAKE NOTES!
Great piece by my former landlord -- one of the best in the biz. We need to get Jim on Twitter! [note: Jim Ridgeway is on Twitter: @JimRidgeway]
These are great pieces of art. They should have been exhibited years ago. They remind me of an exhibit called "Yo! What Happened to Peace" The site is no longer up, but here are some images form the book.
@MotherJones, without fail, has the latest on the anti-woman agenda
Where there is a will, there is a way. Rooftop solar makes sense because the energy is used where it is produced. When you shift over to these big installations in the desert or elsewhere, problems arise. Keep it small and keep it local.
I'm finding it difficult to reconcile my desire for the entertaining buffoonery a Palin/Barbour/Gingrich/Bachmann primary would bring with the fact that the allowance of such intellectually deficient people to run for our highest office is, to say the least, horrifying.
I am SO grateful I'm going through menopause right now. Of course, they'll probably ban hot flashes next...
Can't retweet w/ additions. So, while I'm inept, lemme say, I love John Darnielle (@mountain_goats) Read the @MotherJones interview now.
keep pushing for truth.

Speaking as someone who uses birth control pills for medical reasons, I will attest that insurance does very little to defray the cost of birth control pills. One insurer we were on made me get notes from the doctor to state that it was for medical reasons every time I went to get a refill, even though the doctor had already okayed the number of refills I could get. I would have gone through Planned Parenthood, but there wasn't one close enough. Making sure a woman has access to a place that provides both family planning, as well as proper medical care, is much needed.
