Local media has picked up this story, thanks to MoJo! This just adds fuel to the fire. The bills before our legislature at this moment are similar to the ones in Wisconsin, but include abortion rights as well. Hoosiers are smouldering, and the Dems have walked out to Illinois too. Mitch Daniels needs to put his ambitions away and look for creative ways to give this depressed state some jobs, hope, and liberty.
Thank you very much for covering this. The lack of coverage, despite the extremely recent events in Egypt, has been puzzling. It's much appreciated!
Mother Jones is kicking quite a bit of ass lately. Fantastic on Egypt, fantastic on Wisconsin.
What's Happening in Wisconsin: Explained <Best explanation I've read #MuchBetterThanNationalReview ;)
Very proud of what the workers in Wisconsin are doing this week. These our our firefighters, teachers, administrators, and more standing up for their rights.
Maybe our comments had some effect: SD has now withdrawn the bill.
Intelligent, thorough reporting...way to go! Between MJ, Rolling Stone Mag., & The Nation they collectively have some of the finest journalists around today. Love it! They, thank heaven, do NOT parrot the malarkey spewed out over at Faux News and call it fact.
This made me feel great about all the terrible stuff I read today.
I live in South Dakota. I even got an abortion here in 1991. I don't know what the debate is in the legislature over this new facet, but I will be following it, writing to my district representatives, and spreading the word among my friends and family and encouraging them to do the same. South Dakotans—even female South Dakotans—are not isolated, ignorant, or subservient.
Man, I wish I could work for you guys. The marvelous things you do, see, and report are my cup of tea.
Great @MotherJones story on legal aid for the poor: http://bit.ly/gOskpn Here's our map of Bay Area legal aid clinics: http://bit.ly/bNDrRi

Not embarrassed to admit I had no idea what was going on in Libya prior to reading this article. After reading everything I feel like I have enough info that I can explain the situation to friends and family. Thank you very much!
