Don't Let the Door Hit You Etc.
DON'T LET THE DOOR HIT YOU ETC....What's the right going away present for a guy who's a serious contender for worst president in history? I can think of a few, but alas, they're beyond my meager powers to provide. So instead, how about sending us an entry in our "Goodbye, George W. Bush" video contest? Just put your 30-second (or so), PG-13 video on YouTube labeled "Mother Jones Goodbye Bush Video" and send us the link at:
All styles of entries are welcome, from simply talking at the camera to fancier stuff. There will be prizes, of course. So rip, riff, and rant away. And tell your friends! The more entries the merrier.
Many people have showered George W. Bush with absurd, hyperbolic praise. But you (not alone) outdo them all by taking him for something more than what he is -- which is to say, a politician, which is to say, a figurehead.
He's not leaving, because his people aren't. What (in thirty seconds before a hand-held camera) will you say to THEM?

Personally, I thought the shoe throwing Video was appropriate! Our Congress didn't have the guts to give him and Cheney the real boot they deserved. Proves the old adage about a politician being to slick to get hold of and not doing anything that can be proved in court-leaves a wide open turf for them to roam on!
Perhaps one can just run the shoe throws in an endless loop, and have a good singer read aloud the names of the people -Americans and Iraqis, dead in in the Iraq fiasco-- this is from ... etc.. It will be too long for sure, but quite apropos.
Well I'm sure this new video be a lot more sensible than thre recent "Barack the Magic Negro" RNC CD distribution.
Perhaps this new video should include a good-bye for the entire GOP too.
