What? I thought Acorn were the good guys. Why paint them like this? I don't get it.

The Fiore cartoon was satire.
Congress recently passed what amounts to a bill of attainder in cutting off federals funds for ACORN yet letting other openly criminal organizations in the employment of the Pentagon, i.e. Xe, formerly Blackwater, for example, to continue receiving taxpayer dollars.
Get it?

Wasn't this in response to the videos that surfaced showing ACORN workers assisting a potential client in bringing in underage illegal aliens for use in prostitution? And didn't ACORN workers have ideas on how to avoid taxes on this criminal enterise? And didn't one of ACORNS founders extort between 1 and 5 million dollars? GOSH! Are not those things against the law?
On the other hand doesn't Blackwater provide security to the politicians? Now when is a cartoon going to be made explaining why politicians need such extensive security. Oh my. Liberal progressivisms, will it send me a check for sitting on my butt and syphoning off wealth from the productive elements of our Republic? Booyah!

Really? I'm quite confused with this. Ever heard of a tonsilith? No, it isn't a monument to tonsils. A tonsilith is a deposit that forms on the outside of your tonsils, typically it will be food particles and dead cells in general that build up, but they give you a sore throat. It's sort of a far more benign version of gall stones or kidney stones. (They just aren't anywhere NEAR as painful!) Removing them is simple. Usually they will just drop off on their own, or you can have your doctor remove them as a simple outpatient procedure – where they stick their hand down you're throat and remove them. As procedures go, having a tonsilith or two removed won't likely send you running for payday loans.

One: The logic behind Mark Fiore's cartoon is "But they're worse!!!!" Fiore doesn't discuss what happened to Acorn at all, he just tries to distract us by showing us something he thinks is worse. Well, I can think that military lobbying is bad and work on that at the same time as thinking that Acorn's actions were pretty fucked up. His logic is shit.
Two: Your flash is shit too. I watched it once, then clicked on post comment and it started again, and there was no control to stop it. So guess what, thanks for teaching me not to click on your flash cartoons.

The logic behind the video is to bring light to hypocritical thinking. The description of Blackwater on this blog KNEPP is inept at best. Clearly if all Blackwater was doing is protecting politicians than it would not be an issue.
There are bad apples everywhere. In every organization, class, race, creed...etc. To cut off funding to an organization that tries to help the poor BEFORE a full vetting has occurred is shameful. I am not poor, but those who condemn an organization for the misgivings of a few are poor in intellect and understanding.
Should we condemn the entire Catholic Church for the acts of a few? How about Muslims?
If you cannot see what has happened for what it truly is than you are blind by fault or choose to be so by ignorance. Blackwater has killed many innocents. Was what these few employees did justification to cut off federal funding BEFORE a vetting took place indeed not driven by fear and greed. I say greed because it is a selfish act to take away the hope of the poor class. Most of these people are born into poverty, not lazy bums. Until you have witnessed what truly happens to the poor in this country you will not know the pain and suffering they endure from those attempting to keep them down.

Maybe if the 'floor' of economic survivability in This Country wasn't kept artificially high by real estate and commodity speculators, there'd be less 'poor' people needing government 'help', which, in itself, is also sort of just another racket, or at least it can be. ACORN as mercenaries? I don't know, but there've been money questions aplenty in connection with ACORN, I think if The Government is going to spend promissory dollars, they need to make sure that they're going where actually NEEDED and it's not just a moneymaker for people claiming to help the public, and actually profiting themselves.

Last week the nation became aware of video tapes made by conservative activists targeting Acorn Housing Corporation (AHC) field offices across the country. Offices of a partner organization, Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now (ACORN) were also targeted. A secret camera was used to record informal conversations in the offices. Four of the employees seen in the tapes, from two offices, are AHC employees.
