Ask yourself this, would Edwards, Romney, or Clinton or McCain have gotten the Nobel, 8 months on the job? Um, 'no'. Ron Paul might have stood a chance in that dept., but none of the others.

As I am sure you now understand. The award was for being "not" George Bush. The award no longer has any meaning. Obama didn't earn it. It is no different than a Soldier accepting a medal for something he did not do. Sad, very sad......

I certainly agree that the Nobel Committee launched a preemptive award in Mr. Obama’s direction in hope of making an escalation of the war in Afghanistan and any military action against Iran more complicated than they would be otherwise. However I do not understand you point in juxtaposing the Nobel Committee’s statement with Sen. McCain’s supporting a preemptive invasion of Iraq. Are you saying that both of these preemptive efforts are politically or morally equivalent or opposites or something else? Is one morally noble and the other cynical and self-serving? If so, which is which?

He was nominated two weeks into his Presidency. I guess he got it for charming the media and people like you. The Noble Peace Prize has become nothing but a joke.
