The best part of the Bush administration is that it's never short of scandals. Via Cursor, check out this post by RJ Eskow about the latest mishap percolating up from the Small Business Administration (SBA). Not only did the agency mismanage the disbursement of small-business funds after 9/11companies "hundreds of miles away from the devastation" received SBA-backed loans from 9/11 relief programsbut it tried to cover it up in a subsequent audit. And the head of SBA? Surely some well-qualified administrator? Eh, maybe just a major Bush donor.
