Sally Field Censored During Fox's Emmys Broadcast
So watch the video below:
You probably noticed the bizarre cut that censored the last sentence of Sally Field's moving tribute to the mothers of those in war. Here's what she was trying to say: "If mothers ruled the world, there wouldn't be any goddamned wars in the first place."
You can argue she was censored because she used the word "goddamned" or you can argue she was censored because Fox isn't too terribly keen on an anti-war political statement being made on its time. More fuel for the debate over whether Fox is evil how evil Fox is.

Fascinating! Although she bungled it too
Just another reason why FOX is never to be seen in my house.
I hope you will join me in condemning Bill O'Reilly for broadcasting the same word Sally Field used on Friday.

I don't give a goddamn what Bill O'Reilly says.
For that matter, I don't really give a goddamn what Sally Field says either.
What "Personalities" are saying has never held much interest for me, except maybe the following:
"If you're listening to a rock star in order to get your information on who to vote for, you're a bigger moron than they are. Why are we rock stars? Because we're morons. We sleep all day, we play music at night and very rarely do we sit around reading the Washington Journal."
--Alice Cooper--
The sympathy works equally well for Hollywood's minions and the Bill O'Reillys of the world.
Ok... I don't disagree with her... and I fully agree that Fox is evil... but that bungled bit at the end was pretty pathetic and really hard to watch.
Fox did not only censor the word "goddamned". They also censored the entire part of the sentence afterward. It is clear that they wanted to censor political speech (or at least speech that is considered "liberal").
All the more reason to stop watching television altogether. There is no benefit from it.
Please don't make the sexist assumption that only mothers are against the war! What about all the dads who are opposed to the war? What about all the men tarred and feathered with the word "coward" or "chicken" because they oppose wars of aggression such as Iraq? What about all the male conscientious objectors in college who have to either go against their convictions by registering for Selective Service, or do without financial aid? Women don't face that dilemma. Men do!
