Young Girl Goes on the Attack; Obama Stays Positive
Fun interaction (paraphrased) between Barack Obama and a young attendee at a town hall event here in New Hampton, Iowa:
Young girl: "I just want to say that every time I see a commercial of Mitt Romney on TV I want to throw up."
Barack Obama: "Haha. Okay. I feel you. What's your question?"
Young girl: "I just want to say to anyone who is considering voting for Mitt Romney—"
Barack Obama: "Well, hold on, sweetie. I know you have an opinion on Mitt, but I want to use this forum for questions, not to dog Mitt Romney. Though he sometimes uses his town halls to dog me! So why don't you ask a question."
Young girl: "Uh, I guess I want to know your thoughts on Mitt Romney."
Obama said that Romney is a man of accomplishment with great hair. He declined to engage Romney directly because, he said, he isn't convinced Romney is going to be the Republican nominee. But, boy, Mitt Romney must have run over that little girl's dog.
Update: Maybe that little girl is really, really good at getting the word out.

Kudos to Barack! It is good to see that there's at least one person running for the Democratic Presidential nomination who isn't immature or spoiled.
Or a Baby Boomer.
But I repeat myself.
This guy has class. I'm not sure the country is ready for him.
It's funny, Romney hasn't done anything to me, yet I too want to puke anytime I see him...
I've seen similar things happen a few times before, when I attended the University of Iowa. When young, liberal, Iowan girls encounter something conservative, they tend to talk about throwing up. I think it's part of the lingo there, like "hella" is to San Francisco.
Compare this to the reaction of the Last Honest Man, John McCain, when a woman at a town hall asked "How do we beat the bitch," and the first thing he did, after laughing heartily, is mention how a Rasmussen poll has him beating her. Onlt after that does he say, "I respect Sen. Clinton and anyone who gets the nomination of the Democrat Party." You stay classy, GOP
I'm supporting Obama, even though I was a strong Bill Clinton supporter and gave Hillary every opportunity to take my vote. I do feel a little guilty that if a woman wins the Democratic Primary she will do it without my vote- but that is Hillary's fault not mine. One moment that clinched it for me was the Iowa debate with the "I want to hear that" statement she made with the laugh. Contrasting that moment to when Obama went out of his way to defend his Senate college Biden against the moderators insinuation of racism.
No comparison.
Obama is just a class act.
Obama is truly a class act. We need his blend of truth-telling and civility.
I know I can't remain civil when talking about Bush, Rove et. al.
Go Obama!
Hear, hear. Obama is indeed a class act. He speaks from his heart. He has a soul. By contrast, Mrs. Clinton doesn't seem to know who she is.
I want the leader of my country to have a strong sense of self.
That's why I support Barack Obama.
Mitt Romney is a class act. He deeply loves this country and is a Great American. And he doesn't "dog" Obama.
Barack Obama's "I feel you" remark is akin to John McCain's supporter calling Hillary a bitch.
Just because he didn't let this puke chick continue with her "like" comments on Mitt doesn't equal class.
People who don't like Romney are jealous because he is bright, succesful, handsome and has a terrific family...Green with envy???
Plus who wouldn't look like a class act when amongst people who espouse to the world about their barfing habits.
Gosh I hate when right sites link to icky far left sites. I always feel like I need to take a shower after.
Obama is a class act. I'm not a class act, but I do tell the truth: there's no such thing as a patriotic Republican.
No you don't because you're lying right now.
Most Republicans are patriots and the military proves that fact.
Er Sheryl actually the military nor their families no longer like the republican (especially Bush) anymore.
LA Times Dec 7, 2007:
Bush loses ground with military families.
