Networks Face Candidate Rebellion in NH

Ron Paul supporters are up in arms over the expulsion of their candidate from a Fox Republican candidate forum two days before the New Hampshire vote.

"If we permit Fox News Channel executives the power 'to limit a Sunday forum the state GOP party is co-sponsoring to five presidential candidates' based on polls, then this country really is in trouble," said Michael Kelly in a comment to the Nashua Telegraph this morning.

Meanwhile, both Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama are asking ABC and the local WMUR — sponsors of the last big debate this Saturday — to let in candidates who have been included in past debates.

Under criteria set by the sponsors, Chris Dodd and Joe Biden, two sitting Democratic senators, and Dennis Kucinich, a sitting congressman, are likely to be excluded. Clinton said yesterday: "I believe in the true spirit of the New Hampshire process; the candidates who have participated in past debates should not be excluded from this one."

"The voters of New Hampshire deserve to hear all the Democratic candidates' views on who can best lead America in a fundamentally new direction, and that's why I urge these networks to allow full participation in this week's debate," Obama said.

John Edwards and John McCain said they didn't want to interfere with the network decision.

"Fox News is scared of Ron Paul," wrote Eric Martin in response to a Nashua Telegraph article. "I'm not sure why, but they are. There is an opportunity for the New World Order to be overturned and for sovereignty to be given back into the hands of the people. I think that much of what Ron Paul stands for is the truth. Fox News should be scared not to allow Ron Paul in the debates. For some reason, the truth always stands in the end. It may be a thousand years from now, but at the end the truth will be standing on top of all the lies that tried to usurp it. If Fox News tries to hide the truth, it will fall, especially as a news organization, and one whose slogan is 'fair and balanced.' Fox News should include Ron Paul in there debates."

His detractors could care less "Just face it, Ron Paul is a weenie spouting crack pot ideas," said Robert Chapman in another comment. "The reason people think he has more than 5 percent support is because every crack pot is drawn to him like a full moon."

Remember in 2000, Nader was excluded from debates because he was a "non-factor." Then when Gore lost, they blamed Nader. I guess he was a factor after all.

Ron Paul will get the most votes. I just hope that will equal a victory. The rEVOLution is bigger than Ron Paul, and we will only take so much. This exclusion should outrage everyone who believes in America, and what America is supposed to stand for. Fox News shouldn't get to pick which candidates we can vote for.

"Just face it, Ron Paul is a weenie spouting crack pot ideas," ... Well said. Please refrain from having children.

Anyone that says Ron Paul is a
"crank" or a "crack pot" has no idea what the man stands for. The "crazy" terms that are used to describe him are talking points from Fox News, the propaganda wing of the neo-conservative Republican party. They're afraid of his message of individual liberty, fiscal responsibility, and strict Constitutional adherance. The mainstream media wants everyone to believe that anyone talking about freedom and limited government is crazy. "9/11 changed everything", blah blah blah. The federal government is out of control, and the old media outlets don't want the people to figure out the scam.

If Ron Paul is such a kook, why does everyone in the blogosphere and in the news feel the need to cut him down? Why not just ignore him? It's because his message of freedom, real freedom, is a very serious threat to the establishment as we know it.

Mitt cries, Huck lies, Rudy -the brave Yankee- retreats South, Tancredo quits, Fred sleeps and Ron Paul raises $6 million dollars in one day. Except for Dr. Paul, "[t]here's not a dime's worth of difference between" Republicans and Democrats. The Democrats willingly went along with the War in Iraq, suspension of Habeas, banning books like "America Deceived' from Amazon, warrant-less wiretapping and the PATRIOT ACT. They are both guilty of treason.
Time to take sides, fellow patriots, you're either for liberty and Support Dr. Ron Paul or you're against liberty and damn us all.

I'm glad that people have finally woken up to the true colors of America.....Democracy after all does not exist as we all thought, only what they want us to know and to choose from what they give us to choose from. Its time for "We the People", "Live free or die" to stand high!!!!

Yes, Ron Paul is the nutter and George W. Bush mainstream republican. Awesome, America. Awesome.

So, then, are all non-warmongering candidates nutters too?

The attempt to silence Ron Paul by Fox News is great news. It destroys any shred of credibility that Fox News has as a legitimate news operations. It proves that they are simply shills for warmongers and neocons.

If they cave in and invite Ron Paul, it will show that they lack backbone. If they don't invite him, then they will give him far more publicity that he would have gotten otherwise. In previous debates, they've tried to marginalize him by asking trivial questions and giving him substantially less time than the other candidates. Now, they are making him a cause celebre' even among some of those who don't support him -- because it clearly shows that Fox is NOT "fair and balanced." He'll get far more publicity now than he would have had even in if he had been in the debates. What's more, supporters will be more galvanized, energized, and motivated than ever because of this boneheaded move by Fox. And it could be enough to push him over the edge in New Hampshire, as the independent-minded New Hampshire voters will be rightly outraged by this paternalistic attempt by Fox to prevent them from hearing the candidates and making up their own minds. Even the New Hampshire Republican Party, the co-sponsor of the debate, has condemned Fox for leaving out Dr. Paul.

People are disgusted with politics as usual and want someone with honesty, integrity, and authenticity. For a great satire on the president, the mainstream media, and the war on terror, see this YouTube music video from the international award-winning zombie musical feature film, "Song of the Dead." It' stars horror movie veteran Reggie Bannister (Phantasm, Wishmaster, Bubba Ho-tep) as the president of the U.S. The filmmaker, Chip Gubera, is giving a share of his profits from DVD sales to the Ron Paul campaign. Call Saint Anselm College, where Fox will hold the forum, and ask how they can allow Fox on their campus. Fox's decision goes against every ideal the College stands for!

Boycott the media's leading advertisers! You can identify them by the number of times their ads run and the time slots. Like during football games and popular TV shows. Hassle the ones whose ads run during the debate.
Like those insurance company providers and the lenders that run their ads during the Dem. debates. Chances are, the advertisers whose ads run during political coverage (propaganda) and debates are funding certain celebrity candidates that aren't being black listed by the corporate media and Murdoch.

Boycott the whole debate if Kucinich, Paul, Gravel and others are excluded.
Go to their websites to find out where they stand.
