Ad Addressing McCain Health Issues Banned by CNN, MSNBC

The ad below was created by Brave New PAC and Democracy for America. CNN refused to run it and MSNBC is pulling it off air after one day, claiming it has received viewer complaints. Bill O'Reilly was slamming NBC for running it, which may have added motivation. What say you? Outside the bounds?

this seems relevant...

I saw the ad on MSNBC and thought it was tasteless. McCain's health records should be released, but the photos in the ad bothered me. They were obviously for shock value, but the ad could have been effective if it had addressed the concern of McCain's health and releasing records without those facial shots.

While McCain's health is an issue, I am more alarmed by his position on the issues which impact my life and the lives of millions of American citizens on a daily basis. Rather than giving the banks money, why not just pay the mortgages for those who will otherwise be homeless and that will give the banks the money they need and help the average citizen as well the "rich and famous".

Of course it's an issue. It means that there is approximately a 20% chance the he either won't survive his first term, or will be incapacitated for some of it. Palin would then become our president. All in favor? His health is very relevant, tasteless or not. Not a good time for squeamishness.

It's true that McCain has had melanomas removed from his face at least twice. It's true that melanoma if not detected early on is lethal. It's true McCain has not released his health records. It's true that given his age and medical history, McCain has a much higher likelihood of dying in office than Obama. Its true that if he dies in office, Sarah Palin takes his place. No reason I can see for the networks not to let the ad run

I read that having skin cancer has been found to be a warning sign of a much higher risk for all other types of cancer. It is a sign of the body deteriorating. But if he were a great man, it wouldn't matter. Look at Lincoln's last term, Woodrow Wilson, Franklin Roosevelt, Jack Kennedy, etc.

And I read that an alien spacecraft crashed in New Mexico, and the government covered it up.

I even saw pictures of the newspaper headlines & story about it!

Hey, if it's written down, it must be true!

McCain's health is a definite issue and concern. He is 72, has had 4 melanomas removed and selected a totally unqualified VP candidate. We need to know his health status!

The Ad ought to be reworked to balance respectfulness for the man while pointing out the very important and relevant concern around his health.

The corporate media continues to allow the swiftboaters to tell blatant lies on John Kerry, but the corporate media won't even allow A QUESTION to be aired as a commercial. The system is rigged. These corporate thugs have been manipulating us from day one- even before and during the primaries.

As for the issues:
There won't be a campaign on real issues until there are at least four viable candidates for president. The corporate media thugs and the two parties have a system in place to keep alternative viewpoints away from the public.

I'm voting third party and hoping that China won't have finished buying the USA before 2012.

Since McCain nominated a Bimbo to be VP, I think his health should be questioned..

Sarah Palin being President of the USA worries the hell out of me..
