Another Sarah Palin Email Controversy?
Is Alaska Governor Sarah Palin taking I.T. tips from Dick Cheney and Karl Rove?
As Mother Jones first reported, her office, responding to an open records act request, refused to release about 1100 emails involving Palin and her aides, citing what seems to be an iffy claim of executive privilege. And now another email issue has emerged: Palin's use of a private email account for her official duties.
Emails obtained by Andrée McLeod, the independent government watchdog in Alaska who filed that opens records request, indicate that Palin, who is running along side John McCain to replace Cheney, has used a gov.sarah@yahoo.com account--rather than an Alaska state email account--for official business. As McLeod, a registered Republican, points out, this raises at least two potential problems. One is security. Is Palin conducting state business outside of secured Alaska state servers? Another is transparency. Can her emails on this private account be properly maintained and archived? Can they be reviewed in response to, say, an open records act request?
To date, nether Palin nor her spokespeople have had anything to say about the withheld emails or her use of a private email address for state business.
Please keep it up. These are the type of things we need to know.
They will stall until time runs out so no media can truthfully examine if any laws were broken? She takes good notes from Rove/Bush/Chenney team.
Are you going to look up Obama's emails too-I have not seen anyone trying to dig up anything on Obama- Be fair and look for the dirt on everyone- or don't dig up dirt at all. Your attacks on Palin make it real easy to make a voting decision.

Sarah is a real person who believes in God..These people are trying to take away the flag, God, and I asure you when the democrats get those judges in office none of us will have rights. People better wake up. So what if she was a Pencostal. The Clinton's had the United Pencostal church sang when He was elected President. What ever Palin's views are, we know she is not going to take our US Flag down, teach our kids same sex marriage and no God. Thats very important!

Now, McCain's campaign says that she won't be talking to the committee investigating the allegations. If reform is their bread and butter on this campaign, how can they go about stonewalling and claim to be agents of change????

Every single thing about Obama's life (including his elementary school essays) has been dug up, explored, taken apart and posted on Youtube.
The only reason there is so much focus on Palin's details right now is that she JUST entered the race, and is newer to national scrutiny.

P.P.S. Fitzman obviously has plenty of time to reply and respond. This article matters, because she's campaigning as being honest and open, and is sending emails without public records; public records are the basis of open government.

I think makes the average look like a setting hen if they think she is top of the heap -- also, when voting on issues why is it that two people (husband & wife) using same email address can't vote. Message comes on screen you have already voted...no no no was James not Helen
