So Sarah Palin is Meeting With World Leaders...
You'd think this is something the McCain campaign would be excited to broadcast to the world, right? You tell me. They let the press observe a meeting between Palin and Afghan President Hamid Karzai for 29 seconds. The press then got 15-20 seconds of a meeting between Palin and Colombian President Alvaro Uribe. Hmm.
Oh, hey, just FYI? This person might be elected vice president of the United States in less than six weeks.

even her own state doesn't trust her. at www.earfl.com/groups/320, a bunch of alaskans have shared their pessimism about her VP qualifications - doesn't bode well for palin.
It's interesting that foreign leaders have been given more access to Palin than the American people.
Hey chloe,
You are such a LIAR...!!!
Her approval numbers in the state of Alaska are above 75%...:-) There is NO current political figure who has such a broad support in her state..:-)
Keep being a LIAR and you have to know that it just helps with all the regular moms who you are NOT like..:-)
Was in the store last night, and a magazine had a picture of obama baby mamma on the cover. There must have been 7 women commenting how SCARY she looks and how they would do ANYTHING to make sure that "That", didn't make it into the White House..:-)
Bill
She even met with the one and only .....

Wonder what advise she got from someone like him....let`s guess.
don't you have the feeling that the McCain Campaign is getting a little confused, and is treating Sarah Palin as though she is running for the "office" of First Lady? She is being protected in the way the spouse of a candidate often is: arranging low-stress meet-and-greets, surrounded by looming handlers, etc.?
A field trip to the UN does not give you foreign policy credentials. Gee, don't half the elementary kids in New York get to visit the UN. Unbelievable! Eventually, we'll get to the bottom of the book banning and the extreme positions on womens rights.
Hey mary,
Could it be that since the libs are attacking with the most EVIL assault of all time on a woman, and every women's group, excuse me, every women's group dominated by lesbians, is saying nothing in her defense, that maybe she might be a little gun shy..?
You libs get no chance since you are being so EVIL towards her...
It is funnny, Sarah will be the V.P. and you libs might have gotten a chance to talk to her, but you tried to destroy her, and now you will always be wondering.. "If we would have been a little nicer, maybe we might have gotten to talk.."..? HUH..?
OH well, she will FIX you in the next 4 yrs.. Huh?
hehehe
Bill
Bill, man, you're obsessed. And BTW, I pretty much know you aren't the science guy.
no joke, what are you even doing on this site?
"Her approval numbers in the state of Alaska are above 75%...:-) There is NO current political figure who has such a broad support in her state."
As it happens, the latest poll shows Palin at 68/27 approval/disapproval. Pretty good overall, but a big slip from her usual 80/15.

Karzai... was also grinning while discussing the child. His remarks were mostly unintelligible as the noise from the clicking cameras drowned them out.
"What is his name?," Palin asked.
That question is the answer to your question.
Oops. Meant to post that on Drum's blog.
If the heads of state want to play devil's advocate they could tell the American public what they thought of her since they have had more access to Palin that we have.
Let's have her meet Ahmadjinedad. I bet they'd make fast friends.
Don't people and media have a right to know a candidate who is going to possibly run our country? I suppose we do not have any regulations or standards on how the candidates have to allow us to know them before we vote for them. Only official knowledge we have, of Palin, right now is what McCain's campaign will allow us to know about her.
Why in the world would anybody want to vote for a person who is being deliberately kept away from the press? Beats me, except maybe pre-conceived notions and wish-fulfillment. Sara Palin has not given a real press conference since being named as V.P. candidate. All this can mean, unless you're in denial, is that she isn't ready and can't talk on her own. No matter how sympathetic you may be to her plight, you have to think about what this means if McCain died and she's moved into the Presidency. Think hard about it, please, because he's 72, has had cancer and looks very fatigued at times.
Bill Nigh says:
"Her approval numbers in the state of Alaska are above 75%...:-) There is NO current political figure who has such a broad support in her state..:-)"
Palin has enjoyed a very high approval rating in Alaska, but it remains to be seen if she will hold on to the 75% after this election is over.
My daughter lives in Alaska. She is neutral when it comes to Palin, but when she heard Palin was the VP pick--my daughter was stunned. Her words were, "that can't be, she isn't ready". It also seems to be the sentiment of many in Alaska. Supposedly, part of Palin's popularity is based on the large check every Alaskan received recently (from oil revenues) made possible due to Palin's efforts. My daughter was quite happy with the $6,000 she received (for a family of 3). Alaskans receive about a $2,000 check every year, but Plain was able to get them an extra $1,200 (or thereabouts).
However, sentiment about Palin seems to be waning since she she took the VP position. Some Alaskans are unhappy about her lies about the bridge to nowhere, the ebay jet, and troopergate, and many did not know about her strong religious views. Also, there are some who are embarrased that she is unable to face the press and answer questions.
If Obama wins this election, I think it will be Palin who will take the blame for McCain losing and it will hurt her politically. McCain thinks he is doing himself a favor by sequestering her from the press, but it only draws attention to Palin's lack of readiness and knowledge about the most important issues.
I think the photo opts of her and world leaders make her appear silly and everytime those photos are shown, it will be a reminder that Palin wouldn't speak to Americans about the grave issues of the day--she only wanted her photo taken.
McCain thinks he is doing
McCain thinks he is doing himself a favor by sequestering her from the press, but it only draws attention to Palin's lack of readiness and knowledge about the most important issues. I agree with these words.
