McCain's Focus on Pennsylvania Explained
The McCain campaign is pulling back in New Hampshire, Wisconsin, Colorado, Maine and Minnesota. The place where it appears to be rededicating itself? Pennsylvania. Pats, Packers, Broncos, and Vikings fans, you can now enjoy your Sunday football free of election advertising, which I'm sure you're thoroughly sick of by now. Steelers and Eagles fans, no such luck.
For a pretty solid explanation of the McCain campaign's move, which appears to fly in the face of recent PA polling, check out Open Left.
And for the record, John McCain isn't helping his own cause in PA. See this video, in which McCain attempts to respond to a claim by Rep. John Murtha (D-PA) that Western Pennsylvania is "racist".

I don't think that people going to that ralley were any more analytical in their listening than people on this blog are of Obama. His "57 states", his failure to detach himself from Reverend Wright the first time he heard that black supremacy spiel. Voters gloss over it. Pennsylvania is the state I come from and I hope voters will massively disavow both major candidates but especially Obama for his unrelenting assault on Pennsylvania voters during the Primary and his scandalous comments at the rich slick San Francisco fundraiser.
Some people agree with what he said in San Fransisco, Kathy.
57 states was most obviously a tired mistake. watch the video.
Mccain hasn't denounced hagee saying new orleans deserved katrina by gods will....
it can go on all day. we don't gloss over it - it's just not as important as mccain being crazy and palin being incompetent.
Is John off his meds or is he just plain losing it? Everyone makes mistakes, but McCain is having trouble doing anything right these days. Imagine telling an eager crowd that he agrees with Murtha's slighting comments.
