Even God Thinks Joe the Plumber Shouldn't Run for Congress

From Joe the Plumber's recent interview with WorldNetDaily:

Asked if he has plans to run for public office, he replied, "I hope not. You know, I talked to God about that and he was like, 'No.'"

This breaks God's long streak of telling people they should run for Congress. Thankfully for God, Joe is willing to let God change God's mind:

But Wurzelbacher said he will keep that door open if God ever calls him to be that leader.

Seriously?

These people that not only talk to God, but get answers in real time are wasting their talents on mere government jobs.

Bill Maher thinks Obama should announce that "GOD wants me to fix Healthcare!!" so he can get Publicans to back him.

Nothing can now be believed which is seen in a newspaper. Truth itself becomes suspicious by being put into that polluted vehicle. Thomas Jefferson 6/11/1807

Please...

1) This is a joke right?

2) Just in case it isn't a joke, can someone please ask God not to change it's mind, and let Joe the Plumber know?

3)I thought we made a pledge NO MORE ANTI-INTELLECTUALS IN PUBLIC OFFICE!!!

COME ON PEOPLE!!!

Joe the Plummer and his Ilk

I think we should encourage regular folk with disdain for the intellectual to run for office. We should run the country like a Nextel commercial and just see what happens. Because after all, the issue of governing 300 million people is not complex. It's about as easy as showing up to work on time, marrying, having children, and staying drunk on domestic lights.

This sounds like an Onion

This sounds like an Onion headline. "God answers Joe's prayer - No!"
