You may have heard that corporations are people, people have the right to free speech, money is speech, and therefore campaign finance restrictions are unconstitutional. That's basically why the totally-non-activist conservative majority on John Roberts' Supreme Court might decide to throw out 100 years of precedent and just let corporations pour unlimited amounts of money into election campaigns.
