Bush knew nothing of Haditha deaths until Time asked questions
White House Press Secretary Tony Snow says that George W. Bush heard reports that U.S. Marines had killed two dozen unarmed Iraqi civilians "When a Time reporter first made the call." In March, Time reported the investigation of a dozen marines for possible war crimes in a November incident in which unarmed citizens, including women and children, were shot. The killings occurred after a bomb hit a military convoy and killed a Marine.
Time is now reporting that the Marines' superiors may have been part of a cover-up.

DrQ, you can't tell unless you were there...or unless the episode was filmed by an autonomous drone that was circling overhead.

Sir, your words trouble me. What kind of a society would we live in if we do not accept the flaws and wrongs of our own and hold them accountable? You are like a parent defending a criminal child to the end,[showing no compassion to the victims] only because you fear people will judge you as a bad parent. We cannot remove blame from these shoulders nor can we alleviate blame from and administration that sent them there. Yes anything is possible, even a setup; maybe whoever did it got away so speedily because they had magic unicorns.
And as far as your comment “you can never be sure unless you were there” I am thankful our justice system does not share your delusional thoughts on proof and facts. I assure you, that if our military, albeit reluctantly, is investigating this incident it’s Facts that cause them to do so.

Bush, who claims to have known nothing of Haditha, is as usual lying to the American people once again.
He knew because he micromanages everything. So for those who understand micromanagement they will most clearly understand that he knew.
Bush knew about Katrina as well but just chose to take his usual 'don't care atitude'. It was simple negligence on his part, Bush just 'doesn't care about people things' that don't affect him or his cronies directly.
Bush is a criminal derelict in many, many of his duties.

Innocent deaths in war is a sad but true fact. In a situation such as the one we have now in wich marines allegedly killed innocents execution style, you can never be sure unless you were there.
let me be breaf. The evidence might show that marines executed innocent civilians. Experience tells us that iraki figthers might have exectuted civilians right before marines reaching the explosive device that detonated and made them open fire to make them look lawless.
Experience also tells us that in an operation there is allways a few who will not accept an illegal command from a superior
