Meanwhile, in Iraq...
It's a nightmare:
Iraqi leaders have all but given up on holding the country together and, just two months after forming a national unity government, talk in private of "black days" of civil war ahead. So that's that. Prepare the body bags. Meanwhile, are some of the president's deep thoughts about the crisis in Lebanon:Signalling a dramatic abandonment of the U.S.-backed project for Iraq, there is even talk among them of pre-empting the worst bloodshed by agreeing to an east-west division of Baghdad into Shi'ite and Sunni Muslim zones, senior officials told Reuters
Tens of thousands have already fled homes on either side.
"Iraq as a political project is finished," one senior government official said -- anonymously because the coalition under Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki remains committed in public to the U.S.-sponsored constitution that preserves Iraq's unity.
President Bush's unwillingness to pressure Israel to halt its military campaign in Lebanon is rooted in a view of the Middle East conflict that is sharply different from that of his predecessors….Basically, we're all fucked. Maybe everyone really should start preparing for the rapture. In the administration's view, the new conflict is not just a crisis to be managed. It is also an opportunity to seriously degrade a big threat in the region, just as Bush believes he is doing in Iraq. Israel's crippling of Hezbollah, officials also hope, would complete the work of building a functioning democracy in Lebanon and send a strong message to the Syrian and Iranian backers of Hezbollah.

We need a private, citizens based intelligence agency to keep up with all this simultaneous BS orchestrated by the Bush administration.
That said, there seems to be a lot to the announcement that Bush and Rice will meet with Saudi officials at the
White House before her trip to the Middle East and Rome:
Rice and Bush will meet with Prince Bandar and foreign minister Saud al-Faisal in the White House.
- Bandar's relationship with Bush is talked about in Farenheit 911; a more objective accounting of Bandar can be seen at: http://www.cooperativeresearch.org/entity.jsp?id=1521846767-1459
- Bandar's wife (Haifa bint Tala Faisal) was suspected of funding the aledged 911 hijackers until the Kean commission whitewash dismissed the claim for no reason. See: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Princess_Haifa_bint_Faisal
- A majority of the aledged 911 hijackers are from Saudi Arabia. Saudi Arabia officials were indirectly connected to and curiously present during the 911 operations.
- Many mock drills during July '06 and August '06 related to nuclear attacks, in Hawaii and Michigan. The US-Jordan joint exercises/drills, could indicate a new "false flag" attack inspiring the beginning of WWIII.
The public has a right to know what is being planned by Rice and Bush that involves these suspected Saudi Officials. These Saudi Officials in particular CANNOT BE TRUSTED to make decisions that will have a long term effect on Global foreign policy. Frankly, Rice and Bush cannot be trusted to make any of these decisions either.

Hezbollah is not attacking Western civilization; they're attacking another middle east country --- just as all the middle eastern countries have attacked other middle eastern countries since the inception of them all ~ and which is, and never has been, anyone's business but their own. It is certainly not the business of the United States to dictate to the entire world what kind of government they must have or to keep things stirred up by an unprovoked, unwarranted attack against one of those middle eastern countries and subsequently conducting the ongoing and apparently with no end occupation there. We have accomplished nothing -- other than to spark a civil war in Iraq. How many lives lost to an unecessary invalid attack based on a lie about WMDs that were never there -- a deliberate lie told by the unelected president of these United States who insisted on starting a war for reasons on his private agenda in spite of the lack of support shown by the whole world. Unless you consider Bush's partner in crime, Tony Blair from England to be support instead of a co-conspirator. I don't.
This is NOT an opportunity to weaken any terrorist org. -- it is an opportunity for the vultures of Cheney's corp., Halliburton, to profiteer on death and destruction as that corporation also did under the name Kellogg, Brown, and Root during the Vietnam War. Parasitic, bloated, engorged on the blood of innocents, civilians, American soldiers, they loll around rolling atop fat profits -- shelling out a bunch of kickback money to a regime in power that is more unethical, amoral, lacking in character, dignity, or even simple human decency -- no doubt.
There are a lot of reasons we are at war in the middle east but none of them have even one redeeming value in terms of humanitarian, humane, or a righteous purpose. They are all centered around those in power worshipping at an altar of insatiable greed -utterly devoid of dignity, honor, or honesty one expects of the president and his cabinet in the United States -- at least that is what we expected for hundreds of years, until the offices were stolen via our stolen votes, stolen voices.
There's so much wrong with it that I can't begin to list it all here -- let's put it this way: there is nothing right with it.
Get the body bags ready and prepare for the daily death toll to rise into thousands in a rerun of Vietnam. May as well order the Memorial Wall now, too, because it IS just a replay of Vietnam. Stupid war, no reason to be there, and more dead people than you can begin to imagine over the next dozen or more years in an endless bloody mass murder ordered by George W. Bush.
I would think Halliburton ought to have enough money by now. Cheney, too. Bush, too. But, that's the thing -- the kind of people they are never have enough. They never will have enough.
Parasitic vultures never do.

Iraq will be abandoned and the memories that the Bush legacy has created will fan the flame of hatred for years to come.
But I agree with Marlene. That's what happens when you build policy based on lies.
I want everyone to know that Newt Gingrich, was front and center in this charade, was the keynote speaker at the Capstone Address; March 5th (pay attention to the date), 2003; Sheraton Suites, St. Asaph St., Alexandria, VA.
The Capstone Dinner is the finale of a required 6 week class for higher level officers, mandated by all 5 branches of the military.
Newt rose to the podium and said the following:
"Prepare your troops. The United States will invade Iraq in 2 - 2 1/2 weeks!"
The room erupted into chaos.
Newt pleaded with people to take their seats, taking several minutes to quiet the room. Newt offered a blanket statement to appease the officers. But then he said this:
"When the public asks you why you are going to Iraq, tell them it's to liberate the Iraqi people. USE the WORD LIBERATE."
O.K. What's wrong with this picture?
RIGHT! Why would Newt make a Declaration of War? How would he know? Shouldn't this information be disseminated by Bush or Rumsfeld?
So, here's my next question: why aren't Americans up in arms about this issue? Why aren't they raising hell like they did about the Dubai Ports "deal"?
Does everyone comprehend the gravity here? AEI neo-cons orchestrated and marketed a war based on a heap of lies with their friends and former colleagues in the pentagon - OSP.
March 5, 2003 - Newt delivered the Capstone Address
March 19th - US invades Iraq
(Two weeks - just as Newt said)
March 23, 2003 - Halliburton is awarded a no-bid contract to rebuild Iraq! How could they possibly know what had to be rebuilt when we were still bombing the hell out of Baghdad? How would they know what would be damaged? What about collateral damage?
This war is all about controling the world's second largest oil reserves with the cheapest "lifting costs" - 75 cents/barrel to extract it from the ground. That allieviates a lot of stress about market volatility: loss of control: competition, etc.
So, let me ask all of you this final question . . .
IF, another country came to our shores and killed thousands upon thousands, to access a natural resource that we had (and their country lacked); how would Americans react?
Yeah - exactly!
However, not to worry: you see, these self-proclaimed Christians; members of the so-called Values Party; Vision America, etc. - "they prayed about it and received guidance (BUSH) from God."
They literally sacrificed 2500 United States servicemen & women, killed thousands upon thousands of Iraqis; exposed children in Falluja to white phosphorous, and incapacitated thousands more who will never know a "normal life" - stricken with disabilities.
How does that feel Newt; Mr. Cheney? What about Mr. Libby - all settled in at the Hudson Institute?
DEMAND THE TRUTH! CALL YOUR CONGRESSIONAL REPS; MAKE LOTS OF NOISE ABOUT THIS. WE ARE ENTITLED TO THE TRUTH: THE FAMILIES THAT LOST LOVED ONES DESERVE THE TRUTH.
Bush and Co. should be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.
This is morally inconceivable to me - that several deceitful men would sit around and conspire to harm soldiers and their famillies.
Compassionate conservatism? Ahh, nope.

So, why is seeing this as an opportunity to finally weaken a terrorist organization that has been plotting against Western civilization since its inception a bad thing?
