The sad thing is that this kind of comment, while about as sophisticated as what you'd hear on a kindergarten playground, will resonate with the more paranoid and jingoistic among us. It's essentially an appeal to racists who irrationally fear darn near anything associated with the Arabian peoples.

Rogers should be ashamed for stooping to such a childish tactic and his blatant prejudism should be condemned just as vigorously as Michael (Kramer) Richard's recent tirade has been. This kind of garbage has no place in American society and Rogers should banned from the political talk-shows if the only speech he has to offer is hate speech. Let him spew his vitriol to his fellow bigots if he must, but spare the rest of us from his empty invective.
