Anyone familiar with the Vietnam War knows how the enemy was too often indistinguishable from our ally. In fact, the same kind of "friendly fire" that is a problem in Iraq was definitely a big problem with our "ally" in Vietnam too...
And, where in Vietnam we'd win a battle for a hill and then later on "futilely" again fight for the same hill, in Iraq again it would seem that our soldiers are fighting for territory that can never really be claimed as won..., because after they've left an area the terrorists simply return...
In the Vietnam War, entire communities were enclosed within a wall, which was manned by an armed force ready to answer attacks...
The problem with that policy was that the surrounding jungle facilitates hit and run type attacks...
I'm thinking that in Iraq the same type of "community isolation" could be utilized effectively, because there's no jungle to hide in (with vast networks of tunnels...).
So..., you know, monitor Iraq's borders with those robot drones we've developed... How many satellites would it take to effectively cover all of Iraq...? It's not that big, and most of it is desert... We have all the technology needed--why aren't we using it...
My thinking is that the "evil doers" don't actually want to close OUR OWN BORDERS, much less Iraq's...
Now I'm no DOD highly paid expert on the subject, but it sure does seem to me that we could realitively easily isolate Iraq's cities--one at a time--and then comb them for weapons; then put drones on patrol outside the walls (to call in the helicopters...).
Put "bomb sniffer stations" on the important "arteries" into such civilian centers (the technology is alreday here!).
Oops--I'm an idiot--I forgot; but than how could we take over the entire world in order to exploit the poor... And after all that Bush and Co. have done, precisely in order to create this intolerable situation... Sheesh..., what an ignoramus...!!!!!!!!

I think the troops need their LEADER to lead them and to show them how it should be done. We should send Mr. commander in charge over to lead them! A good leader of troops whould be there to lead! So send bushie, NOW!

Though it is true tbat Bush is the main culprit for all the mess in Iraq, there is still a lot of blame to lay around. After all, who is responsible for electing him twice?
