United States is Working to Undermine Mugabe
Three universities are considering revoking honorary degrees awarded to Robert Mugabe before he turned into a brutal dictator. Back when he was seen as a model for African democracy, having liberating Zimbabwe from white tyranny, he received honorary degrees from UMass-Amherst in 1986, University of Edinburgh in Scotland in 1984, and Michigan State University in 1990. Also, the US admitted for the first time yesterday that it was actively working to undermine him. Before toppling him and picking a successor, it's worth a refresher on lessons of other interventions in history—and a look at priorities, since we're ignoring a genocide underway not so far north.

The Americans have no moral bases and are the wrong support needed in any attempt to bring about the respect of human rights. Especially so the 'crazy' Bush administration. The Americans have presided over and killed over a billion humans in the last century alone, and if you include the biological weapons they have created such as anthrax and other deadly deseases you will be shocked.
The man who administered Anthrax murders in the then Rhodesia is happily involved in Americas' murders in Iraq.
God helps us by re-creating a bi-polar world, America is the amargedeon of this world. I suspect Iran is a better threat than the US!

Movable Type 3.33
Robert Mugabe has done more in the last twenty-seven years to ruin his own country than the US could do in a thousand years there. He's a brutal, awful embarrassment to the good people of Zimbabwe and of the African continent. I applaud the US and whoever else is working to get rid of this guy...It's a shame that his African neighbors are not working hard as well to rid this cancer from their continent.
The real tragedy is that Africans are forsaking fellow Africans when it comes to Mugabe.
