A Los Angeles Neighborhood Disturbance... With Strange Origins?
A thirty-foot pole with a robotic arm on top sits on a street corner in the town of San Pedro, outside Los Angeles. As pedestrians walk by, a giant eye at the end of the arm tracks them with a stream of light.
People are concerned. Is there a camera involved? Is this the newest form of public surveillance in an era of already-compromised civil liberties? Or is it a simple prank?
Actually, it's a public art piece. And it's name? Mojo.

Well, actually it'd probably have to be some sort of trademark infringement theory, not copyright. But I doubt your rights would extend to creepy robotic arms.
I'd love to have someone put that in my town. Someone would shoot it within days. As for me, I'd just want to spend time trying to find ways to trick it. Actually, now that I think about it one of the most prominent spots for it in my town would be close to this house that has tons of outside cats. (I like to think of it as a self-sustaining colony.) That would be somewhere between surreal and hilarious if it spent all night tracking these cats wondering around.
