I don't think this article reveals the enormity of the situation.
According to bank officials my dad has put himself on the Dept. of Homeland Security's fifteen security agencies radar by selling a REIT which involved a small amount of money. But apparently it was enough to put him and indirectly the entire family on DHS radar due to the Bushie republican catholic theocratic Patriot Act. And apparently that is what a WWII vet gets for defending his country.

So after a lifetime of being catholics, supportive of our religion, thanks to our religion we are on the DHS radar.
The fundamentalist republican catholics and the current and previous pope are at the very core of the republican party politics. It surely does not sound pro-life to me. It is nothing more than pro-birth mixed with an egregious amount of intimidation and the loss of an ever increasing number of human and american rights. Including the deaths of our troops and hundreds of thousands of Iraqis in the death for profit- war in the now highly destabilized middle east. Sounds exactly like the papacy's involvement with Hitler and the Nazi party before, during and after WWII. Death does not equal pro-life only pro-profit for the republicans you endorse.

You have sold your self to the evil of politics, republican politics at that; which are the worst kind of politics. The politics of things, of wealth at any cost, even the death and degradation of so many including the poor and working class. You must re-read Pope Leo XIII aka the working mans pope, Rerum Novarum; and reread the thinking of Thomas Merton; and dedicate yourself to both.

You sir are way off the path set by Jesus Christ, do you remember that liberal jewish guy, who lived some two thousand years ago. The gentleman who abhored the merging of church and state and threw your friends the politicians, Scribes, Pharissees and Sadducees OUT of the temple.

And you sir must reread our american Constitution which demands the exact same thing and which you so egregiously violate. As does your spokeperson Antonin Scalia of the SCOTUS who has publicly advocated for the end of the rule of law and the end of democracy in our America, not your America, or Scalias or the Republicans america or your friend GWB who proclaims himself to be jesus christ(small j and c, I just can't bring myslef to use caps when it somes to Bushs claim). But the America of 'we the people' which you and your republican and corporate friends seek to end. You, Scalia and Mel Gibson may think Bush is christ, I don't know what your bible says but I know he is NOT.
