TB, the New Katrina
Lawmakers are beginning to ask the obvious question: Why was a man identified as having a strongly drug-resistant form of tuberculosis allowed to fly on an international commercial flight and cross the border into the United States even after his passport had been flagged? Concerns about drug-resistant TB have been circulating for years, and you'd think we might have learned our lesson about allowing flagged travelers into the United States after 9/11. If that's not bad enough, the infected man, Andrew Speaker, has told the press that the Centers for Disease Control stonewalled his requests to provide him with non-commercial transportation from Europe to the Denver hospital that, they had informed him, was the only place that could to handle the virulent strain of TB. That treatment came despite the fact that his wife's father works at the CDC. The U.S. government is going to have to get its act together, because drug resistant illnesses are on the rise and who knows what new viruses climate change will unleash.

Illegal immigrants are flooding our nation with disease.
TB is cming to your city soon.
End all illegal immigration now or watch America fail.
Mr. Speaker is the least of our worries in regards to TB.

Why did the government fail at this task?
You might as well ask why the federal government has failed to improve the nation's education system, after declaring a "war on illiteracy".
You might as well ask why the federal government has failed to stem drug use, after decades of "war on drugs".
You might as well ask why the federal government has failed to eliminate poverty after over 4 decades of "war on poverty".
A better question might be "what has the government suceeded at?"

TB, The New Katrina, is the headline of this article. And maybe that is so. But it also could be; TB, The New SARS. Or TB,THE New Terrorism.
So what I'm saying is that this so called blunder may well have started out as a blunder but what will the Bush admin and their lackeys the MSM turn it into, can we say more political fodder or another tool to fear monger the american people.
Just exactly why was this guy allowed to fly in the first place, and why given that he knew what he had is he not considered a bacterial menace, or a bioweapon, or totally and completely criminal rather than as some are saying, negligent.
Why is his father-in-law also not held to accounts and his wife.
Methinks these people are totally narcissitic and self serving and hguilty of the very same mindset as Bush&Co, the Republican party and the religious right which can rationalise anything and everything. Sounds like more Republican pro-life to me. Is this guy a republican?
What does this say about our border security. To me it says it is a mess, and Bush promised security and it's quite obvious that is another Boosh lie. Thanks to the Bush-republican-Rove party of security, including border security or lack thereof. Hey Karl, what hath thou wrought, in the name of your constantly vaunted republican party of security and the republican party of law and order and the republican partyof pro-life. Speaker sounds like more republican pro-death, along with the 3500 troops and the hundreds of thousands of dead Iraqis.
And finally did Mr. Speaker get his illness from some illegal immigrant, such as the ones who do his lawn or clean his offices.
America is run by a bunch of stupid, blind, knee jerk, lock step, inept incompentents and borderline idiots.
Karl, George and Mr. Cheney your house of lies is still falling and has been ever since the SCOTUS gave you the presidency.
