Hillary Clinton Makes Phenomenal New Campaign Vid -- To Introduce Crappy Song
Okay, I was all set to rip Hillary Clinton's choice of campaign song, but I can't anymore. She's really impressed me.
You probably know the story: supporters were allowed to suggest songs on the Clinton website and Clinton's top folks picked the one they liked best. Just today, they chose "You and I" by Celine Dion, which is great if you like shrieking Canadians and awful if you have taste. (You can hear the song at Clinton's campaign site.)
But boy, have they headed off criticism big time. The video introducing the pick is genius. Pure genius. I've watched it twice and smiled more the second time. It even has Bill Clinton saying, "My money's on Smashmouth!" Check it out here.
Note: After you've watched the video, come back and watch this one -- tell us which is better.

Bottom line, Obama is a smoker, and Ms. Clinton is not. My vote is for Ms. Clinton. Smoking is a very nasty dirty habit.
FYI – one of the tools that wrote this song was Aldo Nova. He had 2 hits which could have fit the campaign better: "Fantasy" and "Foolin’ Yourself".
And what better way to appeal to Joe-6-Pack Americans than a song written and performed by French Canadians. Goes to show you how out of touch these people are.

I recommended "Hold your head high" but my daughters tell me there are two songs with that phrase in them.
My reasoning was that this election is not just about the candidate but the American people who need to be able to hold their heads high again after the debacle of the last 6 to 13 years of Republican anti-public agendas.

Kirkbrew.... what a typical American you sound like.
Thanks for making the "Ugly American" an enduring stereotype.

I guess some people are easily impressed. The only thing that would impress me regarding Hillary Clinton, would be if she made a public apology for supporting the fiasco in Iraq and then said, due to her obvious lack of insight, she is obviously not qualified to hold public office and thus, she is retiring from politics as of today.
Now, that would impress even me.

A Joe-6-Pack American must be different from a Canadian-American or a Mexican-American, huh? A Joe-6-Pack American can vote for President of the U.S., while the other can't, huh? That might explain the past 7 years.

We have had one CEO, so-called infinitely connected, Christian President, we don't need any more CEO presidents (i.e. Bloomberg, Romney and the like) if we expect to straighten out the national and international mess this CEO president we have has made.
We need a dedicated, caring, politician like Hilary Clinton to put America back on track! Someone who will not sacrifice American values for Executive decision or abandon international law for ideological (theological) and corporate concerns. Someone who cares about humanity, unlike our CEO President, and who will not sacrifice humane values for any reason what so ever.

What ever happened to electing politicians with civil service backgrounds? These CEO types like Rumsfeld, Bush, Cheney etc., run the country like they run their corporations; they cash their stocks out and then they run the company into the ground, which is pretty much what they're doing to this country. Can you doubt it? The rape and run policy that has been put into place the last 8 years? I'm not even convinced as of yet the Dems are much different - I had a very hard time forgiving Clinton for some of the anti-humanist policy he put through while he was president, and Hillary has done some things that have made me doubt her. We have to hold them up to the same kind of scrutiny and criticism we do the Republicans, that's for sure.

just a little testimony from France (excuse my broken english btw): here the beaufs and others reacs (local joe-six-pack variant) have finally decided to elect sarkozy (local newborn & straight hormoned hyperpresident variant) and now they begin to understand what you call "rape & run strategy": 5 % increase VAT. and it's just the beginning...
So of course HC is not the convinced & courageous humanist you (we...) are waiting for. but there is a difference between creationism, bizness collusion, cynism, lie, manipulation, contempt for human life (even american youth's life!) and east coast aristocracy. make the right choice! for you and for everybody.
my mind is that the entire world should have the right to vote for the US presidency, as the entire world is directly concerned.
