“oy” “OY!” What the hell country are you living in?

It’s a good thing they didn’t take the survey on the south side of Chicago where I grew up (Pulaski road, amazingly enough), because if they had asked the white-middle-trash haters there… Oh wait, where DID they all go? Geee, there’s not even any white-middle-trash LEFT on the south side of Chicago. What does THAT tell you socialists (liberals, leftists, progressives, whatEVER)?

The national Democratic party collapsed primarily BECAUSE they had the gall to tell the likes of the Chicago white-middle-trash that “those people” are human (the local Democratic machine, btw, was as naturally racist as any other group of losers usually is). Humans need SOMEBODY to despise. When the white-middle-trash were left without an officially sanctioned hate-target, they started voting Republican. Now the majority group in `merican can’t openly despise ANYBODY (other than each other), no wonder they are piss-off facists!!

You people need to get out of San Francisco more often.

Mary Jo, I don't "hate" the white-trash. I’m FROM the white-trash. I work with them. I HEAR them. Hating them would be like hating a pit-bull for being – well – a pit pull. The NATURAL state of many humans is “trash”, that’s why the world is in the wonderful shape that it’s in, and history has been soooo “interesting”. Without the ignorant “trash populations”, who would our glorious leaders have to kill the “enemy” with. Why, without “the trash” history would be dull. No gleeful German “trash” killing the Jews (it wasn’t JUST Hitler having all that fun, ya-know), no gleeful 1st cavalry exterminating the Injuns, no enthusiastic slaughtering of Gooks in the jungles to help stop those rampaging dominoes. Nope, the “trash” MAKE life what it is.

Besides, some of my best “friends” are white-middle-trash (MIDDLE-trash: I do have my standards). I wouldn’t want my daughter marrying one though.

John, "White Trash" is a racist term like "Nigger". Please do not express your racism in the posts. I know that too many Blacks call each other niggers and say nigger this and nigger that, but it is still wrong. Just because you may be a self loathing White does not make it right for you to use the term any more than it is right for a Black to use the word nigger. You can say "cracker", but not "White cracker". Clean up your hate speech. MoJo is a hate free zone.

Then it's pretty obvious that "hate free zones" work about as well at protecting us from hateful postings as "gun free zones" work at keeping us free from criminals with guns.

Looked at from the other direction, nearly 1 in 4 (23%) blacks apparently felt the effects of Brown vs. B.O.E. were negative, or at least Not Positive, and the spread between them and 39% of whites really isn't THAT huge a gap.

We're 'treated' to some very ugly quotes from white people. Wonder what sort of quotes we aren't hearing from the blacks who don't think it was all that hot a deal..?

Some Blacks, especially the Black Muslims, like segregated schools that are all Black. Black Power they say. They say that the "crackers" just don't understand them, so be rid of them. I personally like diversity at school, but I know that a lot of Blacks do not. They are entitled to their opinion.

I'm a white guy who went to a school that was truly 50/50 white & black. I made great friends from both races, I also had enemies from both.

I found that more problems occur when races are separate from one another. So, in that sense, I think integration is a good thing.

I went to majority white schools, but they reflected the balance of the area I lived in.
The first band I played in (grade school) was a 3-piece, one of the three being our black drummer. Later shared an apartment with a guitarist buddy, who happened to be black.
However, I've always felt that if people don't WANT to mix, then forcing them to would likely only result in resentment and backlash.
