Fox News Speculates: al Qaeda Behind California Fires?
Be scared, America! Al Qaeda is everywhere, and they know how to commit arson! They might have—maybe, possibly, this is completely baseless!—set the wildfires in California!
Just part of Fox News' campaign to make sure every American voter is very, very afraid at all times. If they need to fill time during their wildfire coverage, maybe they should report on this. But I'll bet they won't.

It would be really good if you would just shut up about this. As a dweller in the Sierra Foothills, who spend a great deal of time eliminating the risk by a variety of means, I'd like to keep California green. I took all my conservation group memberships and put them into buying and maintaining 60 acres in a fire safe manner, photos notwithstanding. Scotch broom is a non native, highly flammable plant. Once burnt and replaced by native grasses (much less flammable), broom stays away.

So, Scotch Broom is a flammable plant. Therefore, MaJones should not report on Fox news propagandizing on national news. Sound logic thanks.

At some point, you just simply thow up your hands and consider the source from which such ludicrous statements are coming. Moreover, you are exactly right Fox news would never carry the story of how the absence of national guardsmen and vital equipment are impeding the fight to contain the forest fires that are ravashing California. If not to make matters worse, Rudy Guiliani has taken on Norman Podhoretz, one of the neocon founding fathers, as his foreign affars adviser who is convinced that the US should attack Iran sooner than later. Guiliani's foreign affairs team includes such stellar neocons and Middle East "experts" Daniel Pipes and Paul Wolfowitz. The arrogance of these indiviuals is beyond measure as Podhoretz states "America should be working to overthrow governments in Saudi Arabia, Syria and Egypt and “every one of the despotic regimes in that region, by force if necessary and by nonmilitary means if possible,” he said. “They are fronts of the war. You can’t do everything at once. And to have toppled two of those regimes in five years or six years is I think a major achievement. And maybe George Bush won’t be able to carry it further, but I think he will. It may have just been given to him to start act one of the five-act play.” As bad as the forest fires are in terms of the suffering, displacement and loss of property that peopel have and will endure in California. The fires may be the least of our worries if Guiliani is elected president and individuals like Norman Podhoretz, Daniel Pipes and Paul Wolfowitz are once again in positions that led to the carnage that is Iraq and the "fires" that have failed to be extinguished there despite the presence of American troops and the equipment to do so.

Wow...I saw the newscast on GlobalGrind.com and I can't believe Fox is stooping that low to connect a forest fire with terrorism, claiming someone in a helicopter saw someone start the fire....REALLY?!!? And they think people will believer this?!

Sometimes we may have reason when making an observation or comments of an accident or a tragedy, but when there are people crying and suffering from the acccident or tragedy better is to help them . It is better not to comment than to throw responsabilities to others.

So the government is saying that there have been no terrorist attacks on this soil since 9/11 and those who criticize the government are saying that FOX news is trying to whip up fear? Does anyone remember the fires in Greece, or the fact that if someone starts a fire the only way we are going to know who did it is if they are a celebrity. Al Qaeda doesn't have to do anything to us. We can do it to ourselves better. And who is talking about the real story?: The massive war games with staged shoot downs of airliners going on during 9/11, serving to facilitate the attacks in the first place? We hate ourselves more than they do. Deep down we know how evil our nation has been and continues to demonstrate to the world. But the saddest fact is that Americans are dumber than a bag of radical muslims, blinder than a shopper during Christmas season, and about as aware of their surroundings as a frog in that pot of warm water being brought slowly to a boil.
