Get Ready for the Ron Paul Blimp (Blimp? Blimp!)

If you're one of the skeptics that Ron Paul supporters are for reals, you probably won't believe that they're about to launch a Ron Paul blimp. Oh, but they are. There's a posting on Daily Paul, and YouTube videos (one set to Electric Light Orchestra), and a website, which has generated nearly $500K in pledges so far—not to mention spoof videos (one set to Journey).

Get ready to see the blimp at the Super Bowl, and to accept once and for all that Ron Paulites are an incredibly devoted bunch who may be capable of doing pretty much any wild thing they put their mind to.

Would getting the man elected President of the United States count as one such wild thing?

"Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed citizens can change the world. Indeed, it is the only thing that ever has."
~ Margaret Mead

Ron Paul does not have enough support to actually win the GOP nomination - however it will be interesting to see if the committed group of Paulites will use their new found solidarity to change the world without Ron Paul in the White House.

If they just fade away it will be a very sad day for America. It will mean it was never about changing America it was about trying to win an election.

I hope their actions after the election prove them to be more than other political politician promotion vehicles - maybe something more real than even their candidate.

Why are Ron Paul supporters called Paulites, but Mitt Romney and Rudy supporters aren't called Romniacs and Gulians?

Blimps aside, it looks like the MSM marching orders involve promoting Huckabee endlessly. Ron Paul had 2-3 questions and limited time. He still crushed them all (how come every article forgets to include his comeback to McCain which mentioned that Ron Paul gets more Military Contributions than any other candidate?). Mitt is dead after desecrating the Confederate flag. Many Southerners died under that flag.
Unfortunately it took segregationist Governor Wallace to reveal the truth that "there's not a dime's worth of difference between" Republicans and Democrats. The Democrats willingly went along with the War in Iraq, suspension of Habeas Corpus, detaining protesters, banning books like "America Deceived' from Amazon, warrant-less wiretapping and refusing to investigate 9/11 properly. They are both guilty of treason.
Support Dr. Ron Paul and save this great nation.

"Ron Paul does not have enough support to actually win the GOP nomination"

That is what they said about Barry Goldwater, Richard Nixon, Bill Clinton...

This is not just about getting the presidency but also about bringing the GOP back to its roots.

In the minds of the British, the American Colonial Rabble didn't have enough support to actually prevail in the Revolution, until Yorktown had made the point.

I'm responding only to Warren's assertion that Ron Paul's statements in the debates "crushed them all". I find Paul's statements ultimately lacking in substance. It is fun and exciting to rail against government, incompetence, corruption, etc. but Paul's solution is libertarian, Randian doctrine of simply dismantling government- dismantling everything not intermediated in money, giving all power to the wealthy. This is like the schoolteacher who doesn't break up fights in the schoolyard under a theory that everybody has an equal chance,
