Mitt Romney's Father Never Marched with Martin Luther King Jr.
In Mitt Romney's major speech on religion in America, he said, "I saw my father march with Martin Luther King." When discussing the Mormon faith's uncomfortable record on race, Romney absolved his family by saying, "My dad marched with Martin Luther King. My mom was a tireless crusader for civil rights."
But an investigation by the Phoenix, a Boston-area alternative paper, shows that Romney's father, George Romney, the former governor of Michigan, never marched with King, nor would Mitt have been able to see it if had, because Mitt was in France on a mission the only time King was marching in Michigan.
The Romney campaign is claiming that George Romney marched in one town on one day, and King marched in a different town on a different day, but that the towns and the days were close enough together that Mitt's statements aren't technically false.

Who writes these speeches? Don't campaigns ever hear of Factcheck.org and investigative journalists?

They figure that enough people will believe what they're told that the ones who question (and think) won't matter enough to worry about. Unfortunately, this seems to work.

Romney's ads are filled with LIES—and he is showing how easy it is for him to lie to the American people. It is about Romney's dishonesty. If he can't be honest in his commercials and interviews, how can we trust him with our country?
A politician who is willing to lie recklessly about minor matters is unlikely to hesitate when a lie would be useful in dealing with a major problem. Thus Republican presidential hopeful Mitt Romney's dishonest claims about his status as "a hunter" are as troubling as they were stupid…and they were very stupid. http://www.ethicsscoreboard.com/liars/0704_romney.html
Romney is WEAK ON IMMIGRATION and hired illegal aliens himself twice, even though he is rich and could afford to hire American citizens.
Romney says he marched with his father in a Martin Luther King march, but now he says that wasn't the truth. That he was endorsed by the NRA and he's a lifelong hunter, but now he says, well he's been hunting twice for rabbits and never received the NRA's endorsement.

For all those who find it easy to jump into an arena full of political complexities, loaded with rapid-fire apperception, and somehow manage to remain completely forthright in every word uttered, paie in contrast to the real world. Simple fact is, that in a theological meaning that he / they subscribe to Dr. Kings purpose: Gov. Romney could say that his father, as many great leaders have already done, "Marched with Dr. King." Those who feel that Mitt Romney lies are those who do not like him. They need to do a littlr home work and find that Gov. Romney is far more honest then any canidates that are presently left in the race and that goes for both parties.
