I agree 100%. I've always been neutral on Hillary but I used to really like Bill Clinton. Recently, he's just been going around telling lies and more lies that don't even make sense. The Clinton's want this too badly and for all the wrong reasons. If democrats select Hillary, they'll deserve another 8 years with a horrible president.

Well maybe it wasn't his most articulate day. But, I think what he was trying to do was question the notion that bringing in somebody new equals bringing in change. The big problem for anybody trying to create change is that Washington is a complex system and knowing how it works might be more effective than just being different.

If Obama wasn't black, would Opera be backing him? Would his experience give him minority indorsments? would he win South Carolina? Take an educated guess..?Before you turn prejudice on the Clintons for being white, and proven leaders.Or join in the fear and the smear of the right wing.I'll never vote for Obama because it wouldn't be the smart thing to do.

I have become very revulsed at the sense of entitlement that I see being exhibited by the Clintons. Ms Clinton came to NY and leap frogged over Nina Lowry the congresswoman to become Senator after some backroom dealing by Rangel et al. I am now assuming that Obama was suppose to join in some annointment of Ms Clinton because she got free passes to the Senate seat along with sleeping in the same bed with the Governor and President. Speaking of riding someone's cocktail. When did Ms Clinton realize that enormous experiance was needed at this time? After Biden and Dodd dropped out? Why did she not support on of them instead of embarking on some messianic trip? No no it all about her. This sense of entitlement makes me sick to my stomach. When will Chelsea present toting her experiance while running for Senator or President? Afterall, would she not have as much claim to experiance being first daughter and senator's daughter? In our new political discousre, exposure= experiance = 35 years.

I find it interesting that some would claim that the Black community is racial given that the Black community has been very supportive of white candidates especially the Clintons. Lest we forget,when Bill messed up and made a fool of himself with Monica, it was the Black community that was in the forefront of nursing and supporting him through the embarassment. It was that overwhelming support that skewed his approval ratings upwards and provided the cushion whereby he could limp to the end of his term and survive the impeachment. I submit to you that the Clintons owe more to the Black community than vice versa. It was the Black community in New York with its overwhelming support that gave Hillary the Senatorial seat. Blacks have always supported white candidates and have been the most loyal constituency within the Dem. Party. Anyone who claims that blacks only vote black needs a reality check. Ask Al Gore, Kerry, Clinton, Edwards. Ask any dem. strategist about the importance of Black votes en masse to victories. The truth is Ms Clinton cannot win without OVERWHELMING Black support. Look at her negatives. This is especially so if Mc Cain or Huckabee wins the GOP election. Remember Blacks are not put off by Huckabee's religious appeals. They tend to have very religious disposition and very faith based. It would be interesting to watch this election unfold.

Ray - good points. I definitely agree that the Clintons, et al. owe more to their Black supporters than the other way around.

Debra - Your writing seems to be more conversational the last few weeks, more flavorful and interesting. Maybe you're relaxing into the MoJo Blog community more, but for whatever reason, there is a rich, yet down to earth style coming forward just recently that I for one really like. Kudos.

If Obama is not the candidate, we are going to stay home and see Clinton lose. If you don't want to see another 4 years of a Bush type of administration, you better vote Obama.

What I find frustrating is that far too often quotes of candidates are taken out of context. Debra, if you read the whole article you would see that the actual quote is this:

This hardly constitutes what you are accusing Clinton of saying. Your quote above from the article is a summary judgment of a USA Today reporter who obviously supports Obama. All you Clinton haters: Why don't you read the article too before you pick up a rock?
