Oh dear...I'm an Edwards supporter, but being Jewish, I want to wear this just for the awesomeness of it!

There are most certainly Jews in Florida - my grandparents' enormous senior citizen housing complex is practically a kibbutz without the farms.

This whole d@mned sideshow leading up to the next election makes me more ashamed of American stupidity than I ever thought possible.

Last Friday Israel imposed a complete closure of the Gaza Strip . The blockade forced the Palestinians to close down the sole power plant in the strip, due to a lack of fuel. The shutdown left 800,000 people without electricity, particularly in Gaza City and its suburbs. The blockade also affected the supply of food, gas and medicines. Please send help, we are dieing.

It occurs to me that Barack's first name comes from the Hebrew ברך so that might be a preferable transliteration. (I think there's precedent for proper names not obeying normal grammatical rules which would cause the final letter to be pronounced as "kh" instead of "k".)

American stupidity is when ordinary hardworking americans dig into their pocket for $32 million dollars and more so that we can see a smiling dumbo sermonize and preach and inspire us to give more dollars to the fat cat...the advertising industry and the media..while millions worldwide are going to sleep without a grain of rice to eat.

The supreme tragedy of our campaign process is that a monumental mockery of common sense: Obama, the "community organizer" the anointed ONE, the champion of the poor can bamboozle an entire nation and ride all the way to the Presidency of the US on the back of hardworking ordinary people who are merrily being led to the slaughterhouse.
